CANADIAN BULLDOGS

So what is a Canadian Bulldog!?

Here is the short version...

"The Canadian Bulldog is a medium-sized, muscular companion being developed as a smaller, more manageable version of the American Bulldog. Friendly, affectionate, charismatic, and comical, this breed tends to be social with most dogs and welcoming to strangers, making it perfect for families, older adults or single owners seeking a best friend to bring everywhere. With a strong, balanced build, short coat, and playful personality, the Canadian Bulldog blends classic bulldog charm with a versatile, functional, lovable, and family-friendly nature."

I started this project approximately 16 years ago. I wanted a smaller bulldog I could take everywhere with me but nothing out there fit the bill for everything i was looking for. It was either too small, too fragile, too hairy, too hyper, too unhealthy, too independent etc..

I began my journey with Shorty Bulls but alas it left me disappointed most of the time. Then, by complete accident I had a dog in a Co-own home accidently breed a Shorty Bull to an American Bulldog, needless to say I was livid at my co-owner at first!

But shortly after the birth of the pups i realized that i was quite smitten with one of the pups, I named her Taboo for obvious reason! Over the next few years i selectively bred small composite bulldogs under the breed name "Mini Bullz" It was a side project and while life took priority at times this project got set to the side a lot. Fast forward to this passed few years I've set out to make some adjustments, evaluate some new blood and make some instrumental breedings and introduced the "Canadian Bulldog" !

I've set out to reduce the French Bulldog blood to try and eliminate the predisposition for spine injuries that almost all French bulldogs carry genetically. Increase the English bulldog blood for their amazing chill personality and general overall amicable attitude. I'm also introducing more American Bulldog to try and capture that undeniable spirit, intelligence and human bond that American Bulldog enthusiasts love so much!

I feel like I'm really close to the perfect recipe....it only took 15 years of selective breeding lol

All that to say that the Canadian Bulldogs are exclusive to Bully Rascalz and that the same exact dogs cannot be achieved by simply breeding any random bulldogs together. These dogs are created thru years of blood, sweat, tears and careful selection.
